Compatibility: The NavAtlas ANBX1 brings off-road navigation to the NavAtlas DXU1100DVR powersports receiver (sold separately). The ANBX1 plugs into the HDMI input on your compatible NavAtlas powersports receiver.

Vector & Raster Maps: The ANBX1 comes loaded with vector maps and offers the option to download high resolution raster maps for offline use, as well (over 400 maps available). Vector maps have the advantage of a smaller file size, but take longer to display and do not have as much detail as the raster maps. Raster map files are larger, have more detail and display faster. The unit also offers tools for moving maps to and from the microSD card, deleting maps and renaming raster maps (Vector maps cannot be renamed).

Note: Multiple map format areas available including USGS, NASA Satellite Maps, Canada Toporama and several others.

Compass w/ GPS Tracking: The unit’s compass is controlled by GPS tracking. This means that you must be moving forward in your vehicle in order to get an accurate bearing from the compass. The compass screen also reports your current position, altitude, current heading, speed, and distance traveled while the compass is visible. The red line on the compass will be over the direction of travel. The value reported by the compass will be your true heading as long as your vehicle is moving forward and you have good satellite reception.

Note: On the Satellites screen you can view all satellites in the area, connection status, and signal strength.

Waypoints: A waypoint is the coordinates of a location. There are several methods for storing a waypoint. You can save your current position, enter actual coordinates, or move a marker on a map to the desired waypoint. The Waypoint Manager is where your waypoints are stored and where you can perform various actions on your waypoints. Actions include Go to Waypoint, Map Waypoint, Delete Waypoint and several others. Waypoints can be shown as a list or may be organized into folders.

Note: Supports several coordinate formats – Latitude/Longitude as degrees,deg:min or deg:min:sec,UTM, MGRS.

Navigating: You’ll be able to navigate to your stored waypoints using your compatible NavAtlas powersports receiver’s touchscreen. Your heading, distance to and estimated time of arrival at your target waypoint are continuously updated. Note that this distance is the straight-line distance. The pointer is backed by GPS tracking, meaning you must be moving along a course of travel in order to get meaningful information.

Trail Manager: Trails are stored and managed by the Trail Manager screen; from here you can see all the recorded trails available on the device.  All Trail recording is done in the background and recordings must be manually stopped to save. Recording of the current trail stops when you tap the red square on the first screen. You may watch your trail grow as it is being recorded, if the trail currently being recorded is selected from the Trail Manager screen.

Settings: The Settings screen allows you to customize coordinate reporting, unit reporting, proximity alerts, map types, radar configurations and several other aspects of the graphical user interface.

Sunrise/Sunset: Sunrise/Sunset screen shows sunrise and sunset times calculated from the date and your location. This can be useful for planning expedition turnaround time or time to make camp.

NavAtlas Utilities App (for Android): The NavAtlas Utilities App (for Android OS 4.0) is used to download maps to your Android mobile device and to transfer them to the NavAtlas ANBX1. The application also receives kml and gpx files containing your waypoints and recorded tracks created with the NavAtlas off-road navigation system. You’ll also be able to share navigation data and view in Google Earth.
